Taking the Civic Health Pulse of the Whole Community in St.Petersburg: Lessons Learned from a 2020 Civic Health Study by the League of Women Voters in Greater St. Petersburg

The League of Women Voters, supported by the Foundation for a Healthy St Petersburg worked with many community organizations and stakeholders to gather qualitative and quantitative data on civic health in 2019 and share with the community.  The study findings underscored how its residents engage in civic and public spaces can differ greatly by race, income, and neighborhood. The Civic Health Study sought to reduce the civic engagement information gap so community and city partners can develop data-driven recommendations for moving forward towards greater and more equitable citizen voice in influencing decision-making and policy outcomes. The webinar will address what are the lessons learned in convening and completing the study.
